CLASS 1, Period 1
I was a little worried about this week's class because I hadn't been able to get the Lesson Plan so I had to look for different activities in order to cover the topic that the students were supposed to study. The warm up turned out really good because the students seemed to enjoy playing with a ball. These students are really nice. They are respectful and very quiet. They do the tasks you ask them to do and focus. After that, they were unscrambling some sentences, which I thought would be an easy task for them to do, but I found out they have some problems dealing with the structure (Simple Present vs Present Continuous Tense). Then, they played a game in which they had to mime short sentences. They enjoyed it. This activity worked well with them. After they had some fun, I had them filling in some gaps. In this activity I could realize that they had a lot of problems, however, they have a great possibility to learn and manage this structure in a couple of days. That's all we did today.

Nice job!! i really liked the way you said you worked. Remember that this is a proces that we have to face. We are still learning to get the necessary tools to work in this teaching world that is kind of difficult but interesting at the same time.
ResponderEliminarI just recommend you to be the model for your students. You can perform first what they have to do. In this way your students have a very good idea about what they have to do in every activity you want them to work on. Nice job, congrats!!!

I have seen some changes on you since you`re teaching and that is really nice...Maybe before you ask something to your students remaind them the structure you want them to use... well done Monica...I hope you bring your material done from your house...kidding...

ResponderEliminarAs teachers (right now for our tutors teachers a practioner indeed)all of us face differents things the first day and we stand in front of the stdents without having any idea about how things are going to go, but it is nice to see that all of our efforts will be taken into account someday.
Hey Many. In your practice you will face a lot of challenges. Remember to prepare a lot of material to make the Ss understand better. and take this experience into account because in the future, you might be a teacher at this University or in others.
